I thought I’d reposition the spotlight back to the Far East this time round. No, Jin the Emcee isn’t the only honorable mention and act that represents the face of Asia’s Hip hop heritage.
Today, I want you to meet the boys 24Herbs, a highly prized addition to Hong Kong’s hip hop circuit.
The name 24Herbs originates from a herbal drink from their own homeland, and it is popular for it’s bitter taste that’s subjected to either love or hate.
“It’s also the best medicine when you’re ill, and that’s what the band’s about, you can love or hate our music but what we’re giving you is good for you!
24Herbs is comprised of six talented individuals, which all have their own tricks up their sleeves when it comes to the concoction of real rap records.
Let’s get a better idea of the roles each of them plays.
Mr. Drunk (Conroy Chan) – An introspective rapper slash actor; also staff of Alivenotdead.com
Dor Yuk (Eddie Chung) – Established Producer in Hong Kong
Sir East-a-lot (Brian Sisqojo) – Celebrated for his humor and witty punch lines. Also owner of Know1edge and 8five2 shop.
Ghost Style (Brandon Ho) – Deejay and Emcee
Kit & Phat – Formerly members of the legendary group LMF.
